Human Feather at the GUTTER FEST

We’re really glad to taking part at the fourthcoming GUTTER FEST: 10th and 11st of May at HANGAR.
This is a festival where hundreds of rad realities come together: labels, illustrators, publishers, performances, workshops, fanzines, graphic designer and of course bands bands bands.
It would be great to share 2 days with those amazing people, learning new things, sharing beers, know each other by being part of a well-looking event.
REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS! THANKS GUTTER’s family.

OUT NOW - ULTRA ZOOK, PLASMA EXPANDER, CRTVTR
In less than one month we’ve been releasing three LP. Very deep and nice indeed.
We’d like to spend some words about.
They came to define in public what about out taste and inclination. They are three releases which complete an arch of taste, the complexity in our music production, the always open and feasible b-side way of life. As long as a record says something, as far as its no-commercial attitude is concearnead, we are glad to put it out.
“EPUZZ” LP by ULTRA ZOOK // HF#010
An amazing LP reminding 8-bit culture, yet committed into math and punk.
Benjamin Bardiaux plays the keyboard and sings
Rémi Faraut plays the drums and sings
Manu Siachoua plays the guitar and the bass and sings
François Sabin plays the Baritone saxophone on ALUMINIUM C4 and PISOTE !
Released with Gnougn Records (FR).
Recorded at Ben’s Parents House in Cognat-Lyonne in october 2012
Mixed by Pascal Power Mondaz.
Mastered by Claudio Gruer at Pisitudio
Artwork by Etienne Lescure
“CUBE” LP by PLASMA EXPANDER // HF#009
“Cube” is a complete
and mature work that perfectly conveys the power of a
band that finds its best expression in live performances
where all the tracks gets crushed and transfigured by wild
improvisations. In Cube the music continues to balance
structure and improvisation, noise and groove.
We spent time with these guys, we’ve been seen them growing, developing and this LP might represent their mature statement as a band. Featuring Mike Watt. So, wow.
You can order your copy both through bandcamp or mail. You know where to ask. And remember, if you’re into music, BUY IT!” that’s the only way small DIY realities could keep going. We’ll never get rich by selling records. At least we could keep telling our stories.

THE ALLDAYER 2013
Time for Human Feather to gather the most peculiar, brutal, raging music that has hit our ears and put it all on in a single day, for the whole day.
Human feather’s ALLDAYER 2013, 6 hours of sound assault, 5 bands involved, from 6 in the afternoon to midnight.
On the 6th of April in the UPLOAD

ACTION BEAT (Milton keynes, UK) Fortissimo Records
Started in 2004 in the city of roundabouts, and massively, intensely toured UK and EU several times, gaining themselves a top seat in the underground scene. The number and names of their members has always been varying and well abundant for the genre, you´ll find out when their sonic circus reaches town and unleashes the power of their 3 drum kits, 2 bass and 3 guitar players, delivering a smashing wall of monolithic, hypnotic, fuzzy drone, at a harmful-by-nature level of decibels.

BARBEROS ( Liverpool, UK ) Wetroom, Human Feather
http://barberos.blogspot.com.es/
They just don´t belong to this planet. Three young men decided once to put white lycra suits on and to create a unique blend of waves and percussions, pushing their set-up of two-drumkits-and-a-synth far beyond the known universe. The result is something tribal, spacey, irresistible, angular, even scary. Noise-core, synth-math, no-wave ? You decide.
They also base their work on live performance, having played hundreds of gigs in few years and pretty much throughout Europe, and having collected (so far) 4 hospital visits, 3 missed flights, 1 broken foot, 1 snow storm making them miss a gig, 1 fuel strike, about 12 last minute cancelled gigs, 1 crushed testicle, 1 severe case of gastroenteritis, 2 cases of food poisoning, 1 lost ride cymbal, countless weirdos, a whole host of charming amazing creative people they’ve had a bloody good time with !

COMMON DEFLECTION PROBLEMS (ITA/UK/ES) Human Feather
http://commondeflectionproblems.bandcamp.com/
The ´wondering trio’ began in Naples, Italy close to ten years ago, moved to London and settled in Barcelona in 2011, and so has their sound kept changing along, having hit stoner, pop-rock, noise and jazz-core. It now stands on an edgy, urgent and pounding math-core, fuelled by aggressive riffs and some pointless vocals, hence presenting a constant surprise to the listener, who´ll never be able to dance on this anyway.

SILENT FRONT (London, UK), Triplejump Records
http://silentfront.blogspot.com.es/
If ever a band could be considered a ´classic’ in this genre, Silent Front would probably be the best candidate for that. 10 years, over 500 gigs, about 25 tours, 7 releases, and never lost a gram of their intensity, constantly firing off those groundbreaking power chords and desperate vocals. Structurally more regular than their fellow avant-garders (they often share stages with Nitkowski, Shapes, Death Pedals, OBE, It often takes a war, etc.), their post-hard-core is genuine, straightforward, soulful and heavy as fuck. That’s probably what makes them a absolute reference within the scene.

MONS MEG ( New York, US ) Fortissimo records.
https://soundcloud.com/monsmeg
A mesmerizing experience of urban dark sampled sound, cloudy synth, disturbing voices, side project by some of Action Beat´s crew members.

“Here it comes, Tramontane” LP, CRTVTR

New record out for the trio from Genova, Italy, hero in 2009 of “We need time” EP ( Marsiglia Records, Anomolo, Tesla Dischi, Brigadisco, Taxi Driver) and recently back from touring China. “Here it comes, tramontane” LP keeps the promises of their previous work, delivering a special load of energy, in their very genuine way. British-sounding guitars on the ride, an ever-pounding rhythm section (Jo stimamiglio and Fabio Patrone), and a consistent amount of interesting vocal overdubs (that they do entirely live through an infernal device that Cesare Pezzoni handles along) make it a catchy, emotional, yet powerful listening.
Here again, Mike Watt (ex MinuteMen, Stooges) graced the trio´s sound, adding one of his deep and soulful storytelling to “The Rental”. Same happened in ‘We need time EP’, which consolidates is the relation between the artist and the local DIY scene.

Hands up who wants to die + Ten past seven - 24/02
Giove did it again. An amazing flyer for our next coming gig here in Barcelona. We really thanks so much this man, for his commitment in doing such rad artworks for bands, labels, DIYers and all that. So go and check his art. Love to you man!
http://wwwgiove.blogspot.com.es/

HANDS UP WHO WANTS TO DIE (Ire)
They are four. Based in Dublin. Make abrasive noise-rock which has been described as “all angles and noise, edges and respite, razor riffs, visceral vocals, heinous hooks, yet on the face of it, as smooth as a mirror, as sheer as cliff-face”, “Big’N and enablers in a blender” and “socially aware slab punk with constant discordant meanderings”. Sounds music for our ears.
TEN PAST SEVEN (Ire)
They’ve graced the stage with such acts as Lightning Bolt, Dj Scotch Egg, XBXRX, Pelican, Nina Nastasia, Charlottefield, Giddy Motors, La Quiete, Moss, Vaz, The Redneck Manifesto, Noxagt, Electric Eel Shock, Deerhoof, Zu. It’s a good CV.
UPLOAD, Sunday the 24th of February. Who miss it will be a mainstream old prick looser. See you there.

WANN + KILL KILL + CUZCOS - 11/11, Upload (Barcelona)

A really special energy sprang out of the meeting of those bands, on a rainy Sunday of November. Everyone showed up on time, set up in a second, soundchecks have been straightforward, everyone´s mood was ‘excited’ to say the least..
Nice view from the distro. A mix of Human Feather´s and Bloody Dirty Sanchez´s arsenal turned out to be a well rich portfolio of recorded (and printed) material to browse within. Whoever attended seemed to enjoy (including the amazing members of the staff!).
All bands got along really well- As proof of that, two out of three sets ended up in member of the other two bands (and friends) joining on stage and playing any possible piece of gear unsafely left unattended, bringing it up to chaos!! Kill kill had to drive 1200 km the day after, but I´m sure they had a great long smile upon their faces over the whole trip.
Loved it, and loved the beautiful hosting of the Upload bar. Thank you all people, can´t wait for the next.
Listen :
WANN (Barcelona)
KILL KILL (Algeciras)
CUZCOS (Buenos Aires)
